Magic Johnson Interested in Buying LA Dodgers?
According to a recent article on NBA.com, Magic Johnson may be interested in buying the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Said the article:
He [Magic] loves the NFL and had grown close to recently deceased Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis, who sent Magic hand-written notes of appreciation for what Johnson meant to sports. If an opportunity came there first, with the Raiders or another organization, that would take precedence over any basketball possibility.
Plus, the Los Angeles Dodgers are about to go on the market. Johnson is following those developments as well.
Magic has long been interested in owning a professional sports franchise, and showed interest in buying the Golden State Warriors while they were on the market and was also interest in the Detroit Pistons for a time. Some see him becoming involved in a potential sale of the New Orleans Hornets, who are currently owned by the NBA.
